John Greco is a third generation owner of the Greco Hertnick Funeral Home. He has been licensed to practice funeral directing and embalming since 1988. John holds dual licenses in the States of West Virginia, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. He is very active in our community, serving on Weirton Medical Corporate Board, Weirton Medical Foundation Board, Weirton Salvation Army Advisory Board, Weirton United Way 2012 Campaign Chairman and the Weirton Heights Rotary.
In his free time John enjoys spending time with his girls, camaraderie with his friends, exercising, golfing, trail riding, and attending Pittsburgh Steeler games. But most of all John finds his greatest enjoyment in helping others.
Dee Gill currently serves as office manager for Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home. Dee grew up in Wellsburg, WV and is a graduate of Brooke High School. Prior to coming to Greco-Hertnick, she worked in the Human Resources Department for Interstate Hotel Corporation in Pittsburgh.
She and her husband, Steve, live in Weirton. She has two adult sons, PJ and Brian.
Dee is always ready and willing to assist the families that come to Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home.
Scott Myers is a Cum Laude graduate of Brooke High School, the Weirton campus of WVNCC, and the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science. He lives in Wellsburg with his wife Lisa and has three daughters, Brionna, Allie, and Paige. Scott is a licensed funeral director and embalmer in the state of WV, a member of the National Funeral Directors Association, the American Society of Embalmers, and the Wellsburg Christian Church. He also attends various training seminars to continue learning new techniques and brining new ideas to the business. Scott is very passionate about his work and has been with Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home since June 2001.
Everyone loves Larry. He is a natural caregiver. The gift that Larry has could not be taught in school. It is a God given grace. He is very active in his church, as he serves as the pastor. He loves his hometown of Weirton and could not imagine calling anywhere else home. Larry spent most of his career working as a gang leader in the labor gang of Weirton Steel. Larry and his wife Jane have two adult children and two little grandsons. He cherishes the time he gets to spend with them. Never known for passing up a good meal or a cup of coffee, Larry gets all his energy from serving the Lord and helping others.
Diane Pastoric was born and raised in Weirton, West Virginia. She is the proud mother of 2 children, a granddaughter and 2 great-grandchildren.
She is a very active member of the Weirton community, having held many positions in the GFWC Weirton Woman’s Club, most recently as its President. Diane is a member of St. Paul’s Roman Catholic Church; Church Women United and Christian Mothers, where she served as Past President. She has been an active volunteer at Serra Manor in Weirton for several years and served on the Education Committee for the Weirton Area Chamber of Commerce.
Diane has been greeting families at Greco-Hertnick for several years now and is recognized by everyone who walks in the door.
Donna K. (Lowery) Bohach is a lifelong resident of Weirton. She is a graduate of Weir High School and West Virginia University where she received her Bachelors & Masters degrees. For 39 years, Donna was employed by Hancock County Board of Education where she taught secondary social studies & English.
She is a very active member of St. Paul’s Roman Catholic Church where she serves on Pastoral Council, is a member of St. Paul’s Christian Mothers and volunteers in church office.
Donna is a member of Alpha Delta Kappa International Honorary Organization for Women Educators, having served on local, state, regional and International levels.
She was married for 32 years to the late George P. Bohach and together they had four children & seven grandchildren.
Dan is a lifelong resident of Weirton. He is a graduate of Weir High School Class of 1982. He is the proud father of Lucas and Alexis. When Dan is not working he enjoys running, working out at the gym, and following sports especially the Pittsburgh Steelers, Pirates and Penguins.
Stanley Wodnicki has been an associate at Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home for one year.
After 30 years of service, he retired from WSX, having worked in the Logistics Department managing the transportation, shipping and warehousing of steel.
He formerly owned and operated his own Home Maintenance Services business before accepting a position with a newly-formed trucking company.
He is a Madonna High School and West Liberty State College graduate.
He enjoys landscaping, playing golf and spending time with family and grand children.
Chet has been with us for over 40 years as a licensed funeral director and embalmer. He recently retired and fills in as needed with us covering days off and staff vacations.
Chet is married to his high school sweetheart, the former Kathy Schell. They have four adult children and five grandchildren. Chet enjoys riding his motorcycle, golfing and spending time with his grandchildren. Chet has a major flaw. It is his love for the Dallas Cowboys. He admits it is the cheerleaders that keep him loyal.
Terry is the hairdresser in our care center. She is extremely talented and we our proud to have her on our staff. Terry works from sunrise to sunset. She enjoys spending time with her family and taking rides in her convertible.
Erin is a 2010 summa cum laude graduate of the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science and a 2007 graduate of Slippery Rock University. She resides in Robinson Township, PA. Erin is a licensed funeral director and embalmer in West Virginia, Pennsylvania and Ohio and a member of the National Funeral Directors Association.
In her free time she enjoys working out, trail running, hiking, spending time with friends and eating out at new restaurants.
She is excited to be part of the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home and is honored to serve the families of Weirton, WV.
Eileen Harris is a lifelong resident of Paris, PA. In 2015, she joined our staff as office assistant. When not working, Eileen enjoys spending time with her nieces Maddie & Becca and nephew John, taking long walks and vacationing at the beach.
Joe is a resident of Weirton. With more than 36 years of service, he recently retired from the U.S.P.S. Joe also served 4 years active in the United States Air Force and also 8 years active in the U. S. Army Reserves. He received honorably discharges in each branch of service. He has enjoyed coaching soccer in Wheeling for over 8 years and watching his nieces and nephews playing sports and participating in school activities. He loves being with his family and attributes his compassion and respect of others to his parents. He will help anyone with their problems, whether large or small and will go above and beyond for any Veteran who served his country. Joe is proud to be a member of the Greco-Hertnick team.
